The Cardiovascular Pharmacology Laboratory develops projects in research lines Cardiovascular Pharmacology and New Pharmacology of Natural and Synthetic Substances. Among the Cardiovascular line , seeks to understand the pathophysiology and pharmacology of cardiac hypertrophy due to cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction , hypertension and pulmonary arterial hypertension . In line New Pharmacology Natural Substances and Synthetic , develops projects in collaboration with different laboratories of the Faculty of Pharmacy ( LASSBio ) , the Natural Products Research Group and the Chemical Institute , involving the discovery of new vasodilators , positive cardionotrópicos , beta- blockers and antiarrhythmics . In addition , it evaluates the pharmacological profile of plant extracts found in the flora in order to justify the popular therapeutic use.
